A fun project I have worked on in the past was a automated scoring/auditing system for the Solar Car Challenge Foundation. I had to essentially combine OpenCV running on camera input with laser gates to both accurately time as well as identify vehicles on the Texas Motor Speedway. It was really cool being able to test my solution and hopefully have it be officially implemented next season!

I am taking this course because I am an Information Systems major (requirements) as well as finding the software lifecycle interesting. I want to learn how to best develop large projects and be able to easily integrate into a real team at a company.

Outside of working, I enjoy a variety of motorsports and urban exploration.
